Challenge for Us
A portfolio is the bedrock for any profesisonal photographer. It establishes their range, style and skill-set. As portrait photographers we wanted to showcase the work we produced with professional models.
Solution for Us
We have to be honest and hold our hands up here. Creatively we decided a coastal shoot with a Mediterranean feel would make an impact - and personally we were ready for a holiday.
A few months earlier we'd cancelled a holiday as Lincoln had an accident the day before the flight. He wound up in hospital having a metal plate inserted into a badly broken wrist.
So we set aside 5 days for shooting and 9 days for a break (although our cameras are never far from our side even on holiday).
The photoshoot was booked through Martin Newton Photographic Holidays. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet other photographers and have our own time to work with professional models.
Here's the thing when working with professional models: they bring a lot of creative experience to the shoot, so it's crazy not to collaborate with them.
When you share your concept and allow room for their input there's a good chance your image will exceed all expectations!
